New Collector Idea
I was thinking, how about adding collectors to the game that deal in Green weapons and in return give you a green item that can't be aquired anywhere else in the game.
For example, Green collector bob might ask for both versions of Shiro's Blades if he were in cantha or all of droknars warrior weapons (in GWEN) and in return he might give you a unique skinned "green" that is unavailable anywhere else in the game.
There could also be a hidden collecter in a place common to all the games... zaishen islands maybe, who becomes available if you've traded in an item to each of the other collecters. Of course he only takes their greens, but in return has a set of items even better than the other guys.
As a bonus any of the greens obtained this way could be dedicated to the HoM.
Expanding on the idea, maybe there could be an armor collecter who requires you turn in sets of elite armors peices and in return gives you a unique set of armor you can't craft elsewhere (it'd probably have to be a reskin though). One might ask for 3 elite tattoo armors for a new monk tattoo design in return. Another might ask for elite kurz/lux. A final one might want FoW and Vabbian.

Good intentions/idea but would that armour be destroyed? It would be very very expensive if so.

Y not.. Adding content gives people more things to do and that can't be a bad thing whether they chose to participate or not

But who wants to spend 200k on a single armour? Or rather buying a bunch of armors for 1 different 1.

Yeah it would... you turn it in to a collector and lose all the other armors so you can get a "better" one. In other words if you wanted to have all of the top end armors in the game for your char, you'd have to buy two copies of FoW and Vabbian; one pair for you to keep, one pair to turn in.
Quick monty, it's more for people who already have the best armors and nothing to spend all their extra loot on for that char.

That's exactly what I was thinking. There's no way for NPC Bob to give out greens with better mods than are already available. He can't give you a Sundering (30/30) (20^50) Sword of Fortitude (+35), so, in the end, you are either getting screwed out of decent greens, or a serious e-peener.

You can give a weapon with a rarely seen or "better" skin. Perhaps a weapon with a previously unseen dye scheme. Example you could have an Angel Blade, a fellblade with a pure white blade. Maybe a sword with a canthan broad sword skin or assassin daggers that look like shiro's blades but have different stats. That sort of thing.

and look how many e-peeners there are out there already?
Vabbian Armor and FoW Armor have the same stats but FoW is infinitley more expensive.
Why would you buy a Chaos Axe over a Barbed one? Because it "looks cooler" and I'm sure you've done it too.

I'd say more like I sell you a coin from a collector's run in exchange for 5 legal tender ones.

Now, if I could trade in three of those non-max, worthless greens for a worthwhile one I'm all for it. Or, maybe, three sets of pre-sear armor for a set of FOW?

hehe, i met LOADS of ppl who spent over 200k for a single armor(ever heard of FoW armor?). Also you can only wear one armor at time, which makes it senseless to have moltiple sets(except those for farming).
and yep, i would agree with idea about greenies and new weps, could be another solution how to add those contests skins to game.
